Design flow of the DRAC project
The logic and physical synthesis behind the DRAC project is explained now through a design flow, including the steps of the processors based on the RISC-V architecture.

Neus Sabaté, ICREA researcher in the SPEED group of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM), participates in the series of interviews "Scientists and Global Change" of the Deputy Vicepresidency of Scientific Culture of the CSIC.
The group of Power Devices and Systems has obtained the patent for a new method of selective deposit by shadow mask, based on a set of self-aligned metal masks, for the implementation of tracks and pads in power electronics.
The device, which features a silicon sensor manufactured at IMB-CNM's Clean Room, monitors radon levels automatically and remotely. Radon gas is the largest source of natural radiation exposure in humans and causes 3-14% of lung cancer cases.
IMB-CNM is a member of the "Xarxa d'R+D+i Energy for Society" through the groups of PDS and MESSI. XRE4S is a consortium of 35 research groups belonging to 14 research centres and universities.
We celebrate the success of the sevenh launch of another 36 satellites for the OneWeb constellation. The company reaches the deployment of a total of 218 satellites in orbit, each one of them equipped with four photodiodes manufactured in the Micro and Nanofabrication Clean Room.
The device is the result of KardiaTool, a European project. It contains a biosensor chip developed in the Clean Room of the IMB-CNM, and functionalized magnetic nanoparticles synthesized at ICMAB, key to detect the biomarkers found in saliva.
Two agreements between the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the CSIC are underway for the application of European funds, 50% of which financed with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in order to modernise, consolidate, expand and evolve the infrastructures for the micro and nanotechnologies of the Clean Room.
