Scientists at the IMB-CNM have obtained microchips, which can be placed inside living cells or liquids to simultaneously detect several parameters. The developed technology enables the adaptation of the microchips according to the demand of customers.

The NFFA-Europe project brings together 20 research centres, laboratories and universities that pioneer research in this field, among them those that make up the Barcelona Nanocluster Bellaterra BNC-b: UAB, PRUAB, IMB-CNM, ICMAB and ICN2

The project "Liver on a chip", participated by the Biomedical Applications Group of the IMB-CNM (CSIC) won the second prize of the second Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) Health Innovation Contest in the Biomedical Research Innovation category.

A US Patent (No. US 8.995.134 B2) entitled “Electrically-cooled Power Module” was assigned to Lear Corporation (Southfield, MI, USA) on March 31, 2015. This patent was developed by IMB-CNM researchers in collaboration with engineers from Lear Corporation (Valls, Spain) and Leitat (Terrassa, Spain) in the framework of the CENIT-VERDE project.
