On the occasion of February 11, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Equality Committee held the day "Anomena la teva científica", an occasion to share the names of female references in science, whether in the form of teachers, mentors or great figures in history.

Summary of the round table "Del primer STM a Catalunya als microscopis actuals", which took place on 16th November in the framework of the Setmana de la Ciència, organized by IMB-CNM, ICMAB, ICN2 and the UAB School of Sciences.

The seminar "Mental health and well-being in the world of research: risk activity?" It is organized by the European Observatory of Mental Health in Researchers (ReMO), the CSIC and the UAB. Up to 32-42% of people in academia and among graduate students have a psychological problem, according to recent studies.

The IMB-CNM participates in the organization of a round table for the anniversary of the creation of the Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) and organizes Open Days throughout the Setmana de la Ciència. Come and meet us!

A public event dedicated to the dissemination of science, aiming to bring research, innovation and its actors to the public. The IMB-CNM collaborates in some activities and there are conferences, games and microtalks around Barcelona and Catalonia all week long.

The institute is involved in the sponsorship and activities of the 6th Summer School on Intelligent signal processing for Frontier Research and Industry (INFIERI), which is taking place this week in Madrid.

The ePowered RACING Team, a group within the UPC's School of Engineering of Barcelona East (EEBE) which the IMB-CNM supports through an agreement collaboration with the Power Devices and Systems group, arrived in the 9th position at the VI MotoStudent in Aragon, which took place the last 18th July. It was the 1st qualified Catalan team and the 4th in Spain, in a total of 50 teams throughout the world.

The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona is one of the sponsors of the ePowered Racing team of the UPC's School of Engineering of Barcelona East (EEBE), through the Power Devices and Systems group and D+T Microelectrónica A.I.E., which has designed and manufactured an electric motorcycle to participate in the international MotoStudent competition.
