The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona is one of the sponsors of the ePowered Racing team of the UPC's School of Engineering of Barcelona East (EEBE), through the Power Devices and Systems group and D+T Microelectrónica A.I.E., which has designed and manufactured an electric motorcycle to participate in the international MotoStudent competition.

Representatives from the Deputy Vice-presidence of Knowledge Tranfer visit the IMB-CNM installations for an overview of the centre's research and activity in technology transfer to the industry.

The IMB-CNM participated in the Festa de la Ciència of Barcelona last Sunday, 13th June. Seven researchers prepared three different workshops that they performed eight times during a period of two hours, so more than 150 people (kids and adults of all ages) attended the demostrations.

La Festa de la Ciència celebrates its 14th edition within the framework of the Ciutat i Ciència Biennial of Barcelona, which begins today and will last until Sunday. A week of reflection on scientific knowledge and its forms.

IMB-CNM, ICMAB, ICN2 and the Faculty of Sciences of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will celebrate two online sessions about work and research in Nanoscience for students. The gatherings are framed in the events of the Festival 10alamenos9 in the UAB Campus, in Bellaterra, and will take place next Thursday 22nd April 2021.

The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona is one of the bronze sponsors of the #MEMEnginy21 event, a meeting organised by students from the UAB Faculty of Engineering to connect companies and students from the technological and digital world, scheduled for April 29. The researcher Lluís Terés is also in charge of giving one of the conference talks on RISC-V and open source hardware.

IMB-CNM is ending 2020 with three days of online conferences to get to know the research activity of three of our groups, starting on Friday, 18th.

Conferences will be held in Spanish from 10:00 to 10:45, moderated by researcher Eli Prats, with the participation of César Fernández, David Quirión and Roger Escudé.

The United Nations have proclaimed February 11 the International Day of Women and Girls in Science aiming to ensure full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls.
