CSIC launches a catalog with its 100 most innovative and cutting-edge technologies available for licensing or collaborative projects. It includes four developments made at the Institute of Microelectronics in Barcelona.
Today is the reception session of IMB-CNM researcher Francesc Pérez Murano as a full member of the Reial Acadèmia de Ciències i Arts de Barcelona.
The event, sponsored by D+T Microelectrónica and the spin-offs Energiot, Fuelium and INBRAIN Neuroelectronics, was held on April 25th and featured 25 presentations by PhD students and eight posters by postdoctoral research staff.
The IMB-CNM, a CSIC institute dedicated to micro and nanoelectronics, joins the network of centers accredited as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence, awarded by the State Research Agency, for the next six years.
We deeply regret the death of Emilio Lora-Tamayo, friend and colleague of the IMB-CNM-CSIC, to which he was linked since its beginnings. He was also President of CSIC and Professor of Electronics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. May he rest in peace.
The event was chaired by the Minister of Enterprise and Labor, Roger Torrent i Ramió; the Minister of Economy and Finance, Natàlia Mas Guix, and the Minister of Research and Universities, Joaquim Nadal i Farreras. This initiative is promoted by the Semiconductor and Chip Alliance of Catalonia, which is formed by several departments of the Generalitat, companies and research and innovation agents; of which Luis Fonseca, as director of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona, is a member.
Joaquim Nadal, Minister of Research and Universities of the Generalitat of Catalonia, meets with the management of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM-CSIC) and visits the scientific facilities located at the UAB. The center deploys cutting-edge research in micro and nano systems applied to advanced technologies, health and environment, energy or mobility, among others.
