INBRAIN Neuroelectronics announces FDA Breakthrough Device designation for its graphene-based intelligent network modulation platform

A first-of-a-kind device, the INBRAIN Intelligent Network Modulation System is designed to offer a new treatment option for patients with Parkinson’s disease. It harnesses the properties of graphene and the power of machine learning software to provide highly targeted and adaptive neuroelectronic therapy. INBRAIN Neuroelectronics is a health-tech company that originated as a spin-off of the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) and ICREA, with the participation of the IMB-CNM-CSIC.

The IMB-CNM delivers this week the awards of the contest “Un microchip muy grande”

The IMB-CNM will recognize the efforts of the participating groups and will award the best work of the three modalities at an event at the institute's building on September 22nd at 1 pm. The contest received work from pre-university students and it is supported by the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología · Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (FECYT).

Fuelium, CSIC spin-off, awarded at Expoquimia 2023

The company co-founded by Neus Sabaté, an IMB-CNM researcher, receives the "Best in Class" award in the "Tech Transfer" category for its development of paper-based ecological batteries. The "Best in Class" awards, with four categories, recognize projects with a high disruptive profile and business transformation. Fuelium batteries do not generate toxic waste and can power a wide variety of single-use devices.
