One more year, the IMB-CNM organizes Open Days from November 14 to 18 on Setmana de la Ciència, as well as a conference and a workshop for teenagers.
The IMB-CNM-CSIC launches the initiative with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) – Ministry of Science and Innovation, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the invention of the transistor. The contest opens the reception of works until April 2023 and students from primary, secondary, high school and training cycles can apply, with three different prizes in each modality. The institute will make educational materials available to schools to promote the completion of the work.
The IMB-CNM organized and collaborated in five activities for the 5th European Researchers' Night, which were attended by more than 100 people throughout the week. The events, in Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, have brought together audiences of all ages.
One more year, IMB-CNM researchers and technicians will participate from September 28 to 30 in various activities on the occasion of the European Researchers' Night, a public event dedicated to the dissemination of science.
The IMB-CNM organizes an online talk and an open day on the occasion of the Open Gov Week, whose objective is to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, participation citizenship, public integrity and collaboration.
The 10alamenos9 Festival is an initiative for the dissemination of nanoscience and nanotechnology that is celebrated in many places. In its edition of Bellaterra, the Faculty of Sciences of the UAB is the main coordinator together with the research centers ICMAB, ICN2 and IMB-CNM. On May 31, there were several visits to the different centers and a round table with predoctoral researchers talking about their career in nanoscience. The Campus welcomed almost 200 students altogether.
More than 12,000 people have participated in the 15th Festa de la Ciència on the Rambla del Raval and more than 100 people have participated in the activities coordinated by the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona.
The institute participates, one more year, in the Festa de la Ciència organized by the Barcelona City Council. The event is the largest event for scientific dissemination for all audiences. It will take place on the Rambla del Raval in Barcelona and will last the entire weekend of May 28 and 29.
