The IMB-CNM opens its doors to contribute to the Open Gov Week

The IMB-CNM organizes an online talk and an open day on the occasion of the Open Gov Week, whose objective is to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, participation citizenship, public integrity and collaboration.

More than 50 high school students visit the IMB-CNM at the 10alamenos9 Festival

The 10alamenos9 Festival is an initiative for the dissemination of nanoscience and nanotechnology that is celebrated in many places. In its edition of Bellaterra, the Faculty of Sciences of the UAB is the main coordinator together with the research centers ICMAB, ICN2 and IMB-CNM. On May 31, there were several visits to the different centers and a round table with predoctoral researchers talking about their career in nanoscience. The Campus welcomed almost 200 students altogether.

The transistor turns 75 as Europe considers chip manufacturing to achieve more technological sovereignty

The transistor is a microelectronic component that is counted by the millions in computers, cell phones, rockets and washing machines. It is at the heart of the digital revolution, is fundamental to microelectronics and is key to understanding the current semiconductor crisis. The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona is celebrating it with an event on Tuesday, May 24 at the Institut d'Estudis Catalans in Barcelona. There will be a talk by its director, Luis Fonseca, on the causes of the crisis, and an informative lecture by Professor Ignacio Mártil.
