Multiple actuation microvalves in wax microfluidics

A new type of electrically controlled and fully integrated wax microvalve is described in this work. The valve is designed for multiple actuation and has a small footprint (< 0.5 mm2), fast response (< 0.3 s) and low energy consumption (< 35 mJ).

Study From Cryogenic to High Temperatures of the High- and Low-Resistance-State Currents of ReRAM Ni–HfO2–Si Capacitors

 Resistive switching conduction in Ni/HfO2/Si capacitors is studied at temperatures ranging from 77 to 473 K. A model for the low-resistance state (LRS) consistent with the experimental data is proposed.

Resonant tunnelling features in a suspended silicon nanowire single-hole transistor

A suspended p-type Si nanowire incorporating Si nanocrystal quantum dots has been used to form a single-hole transistor. Fabrication is based on focused Ga ion beam exposure and anisotropic wet etching.
