Welcome Denis Desmaele, new Marie Curie fellow in the SPEED Group

Researcher Denis Desmaele is starting a Marie Curie Fellowship to work on the GREAT-4PA project with the SPEED Group.

Denis Desmaele's academic and professional backgrounds span multiple engineering disciplines (i.e., electronics, microfluidics, microfabrication and micromechanics) and his collective research has implications across a variety of sensors, microsystems and energy harvesting components. Denis has strengthened his research skills through experiences in multiple research organisations across Europe (France, Finland, England and Italy).

"I am delighted to now join the SPEED research group at IMB-CNM-CSIC as a Marie Curie fellow. I will work on the GREAT-4PA project, which aims at developing transient electronic systems for precision agriculture applications", explains Denis.

The Self-powered and fully biodegradable electronic system for measuring local parameters and releasing agrochemicals in agricultural fields project has just started.
