SCIENCE IN FEMININE I Contest Rules: Promoting the Career of IMB-CNM Women Scientists
The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona is launching a contest to help boost the scientific careers of early-stage and trainee researchers. Through short videos, participants can showcase their projects and motivations. Check the rules and take part!
The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM), through its equality committee, announces this contest with the aim of promoting the scientific careers of women researchers* in training and/or in the early stages of their careers, thereby making their work in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics more visible.
Who can participate?
Participation is individual and open to:
- Doctoral students currently affiliated with IMB-CNM-CSIC.
- Postdoctoral researchers active at IMB-CNM-CSIC within two years of their thesis defense.
How to participate
Each participant must submit a video of 3 minutes maximum that includes:
- At least a personal introduction, highlighting main scientific contributions, achievements, motivations, and a presentation of the research project.
- The video can be in Spanish, Catalan, or English.
- It must be recorded horizontally, 16:9 proportion.
- It must include the IMB-CNM logos, which can be found on the IMB-CNM Intranet at IMB-CNM\Cnminfo\ImatgeCorporativa.
Prizes
- First prize: Registration and travel to a relevant international conference in the winner’s research area. This conference may be cross-disciplinary and will be chosen by the winner —upon justification regarding how it advances her research career—.
- Second and third prizes: Registration for a specialized training course in science communication and outreach (details to be defined).
