# MEMEnginy21 is a meeting organised by the students of the UAB Faculty of Engineering to connect companies and students from the technological and digital world. This year, it can be celebrated virtually with a program that occupies the entire day of April 29. The IMB-CNM collaborates as a bronze sponsor of the event, together with other centers of scientific research of excellence and companies from the private sector dedicated to technology.

RISC-V: The path towards "open-source" hardware

Lluís Terés, researcher at the Integrated Circuits and Systems group (ICAS) of the IMB-CNM and professor at the organising faculty, will give a talk on RISC-V, an open source processor, together with Miquel Moretó (Barcelona Supercomputing Center / UPC) . The session will be on the morning of April 29, on the Track 2 of the Congress.

"The emergence of the open ISA RISC-V processor is having an impact and a spectacular future projection and we want to contextualize the main features and their implications at the level of teaching, research and innovation", indicates the researcher.
