The Festa de la Ciència celebrates a new edition in the Born de Barcelona with activities throughout the weekend, from Saturday to Sunday. The IMB-CNM participates with a workshop in collaboration with the FECYT.
The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM-CSIC) is organizing a workshop on June 1 for the 18th Barcelona Science Festival, an initiative of the City Council. This year, the Born Center of Culture and Memory and the Plaça Comercial will be filled with knowledge, research and fun for all audiences. They will do so from May 31 to June 1 in the 18th Science Festival.
The IMB-CNM participates every year with activities for younger children.

What do high-speed trains, video consoles and ChatGPT have in common? They all depend on xips to function! We will explore how these essential components for electronic systems are designed and manufactured. We will get to know the role of transistors, resistors and other elements, and learn how circuits are created on silicon substrates inside white salts. An activity to understand microelectronics from the inside and be fascinated by the world inside a chip. Activity in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) in the framework of the CHIPS project: Un viatge pel circuit integrat (FCT-23-19658).
