CSIC has received the Business Matching Award at Nano Tech 2015, the 14th International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference, held on 28-30 January in Tokio, Japan.

CSIC set up the largest number of appointments with various exhibitors and visitors by using the business matching system. The Nano Tech Executive Committee commended the CSIC intensive commitment to Open Innovation.

Of the 16 technological offers (patents) presented by CSIC, 6 were based on technologies developed at IMB-CNM. Specifically:

  • Device to assess the cell barrier integrity through impedance spectroscopy for nanomedicine screening platforms treatment validation.
  • Flexible neural micro-probes compatible with Magnetic Resonance.
  • Autonomous and disposable test strip for point-of-care assays.
  • Microchips with surface molecular multifunction.
  • Digital system for stereotaxic biopsies.
  • Material for low cost manufacturing of small, highly sensitive and environmentally respectful sensors for heavy metal detection (co-owned with ICMAB).
