IMB-CNM Talks: IMB-CNM Clean Room and Sustainability

Report after report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change unequivocally warns on the effect of human activity on climate and calls for immediate greenhouse gas emissions reductions in all sectors this decade. As a resource-intensive facility, the IMB-CNM clean room is part of the problem, but hopefully also part of the solution as a research facility. In this talk, I will give a preliminary overview of the main figures of the clean room in terms of resource use, explain the actions already taken in the past to reduce its environmental impact, and set out a plan for the future. This talk is intended to be the first step in a broader sustainability plan.
