Small, mid-sized and large enterprises join forces with RTOs to develop state-of-the-art technological solutions in electronic components and systems. R&D includes sensors, related integration, software, connectivity, and data management. Focus on safety, security, and reliability R&D as well as on autonomous movement and robotics platforms.

An international group, in collaboration with the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona of the CSIC (IMB-CNM-CSIC), is involved in the development of nanotherapies against cancer using externally controlled nanocapsules. The first results of magnetoplasmonic iron nanocapsules to combat tumors have been obtained in the preclinical phase in mice.

The exhibition that commemorates the 75th anniversary of the invention of the transistor, organized by the IMB-CNM with the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), will be in the ETSEIB-UPC Exhibition Hall, in Barcelona, until March 30th.

The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM-CSIC) leads the technical section of the development of a software that will allow access to the information stored in a chip. The objective of the ForRES project, financed with more than 2 million euros, is to improve the digital forensic analysis of electronic devices.
