Radiation Detectors Laboratory (LabRad)

The Radiation Detectors Laboratory (LabRad) is dedicated to the characterization of semiconductor radiation detectors and radiation detection systems. The laboratory is a radiation facility licensed to work with sealed radiation sources by the Spanish Nuclear Security Council (CSN).

  • Electrical test of semiconductor radiation detectors and other microelectronic devices in probe station with controlled temperature
  • Charge collection efficiency measurements with low activity sealed radiation sources
  • Transient Current Technique (TCT) characterization of the response of semiconductor detectors to radiation
  • Test of electronic systems related to radiation detectors and their readou
