Guided tours and stories about Silicon Valley at Science Week 2023
Two workshops, three guided tours, an exhibition and a guest lecture were the activities programmed during the great outreach event, held between November 13 and 20. The event is promoted by the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRi) in Catalonia and, statewide, by the CSIC itself.
Researchers Tomás Palacios and Christian Bergaud join IMB-CNM's Scientific Advisory Board
CSIC appoints Palacios, professor and lecturer at MIT, and Bergaud, researcher at the French LAAS-CNRS, as new members to supervise and advise on the scientific activity of the Institute of Microelectronics in Barcelona; replacing Elvira Fortunato, current Portuguese Minister of Science, and Florin Udrea, from the University of Cambridge.

The outreach exhibition on the 75th anniversary of the transistor, coordinated by IMB-CNM with the collaboration of FECYT, returns to Barcelona and will be at the Lleialtat Santsenca in the Sants district during the whole month of November.
Sweanty, CSIC and ICREA sign agreement to bring to market self-powered patches that analyze perspiration
The technology of these smart patches that generate energy through sweat to analyze this fluid was developed at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona of the CSIC (IMB-CNM-CSIC). The technology provides information on the composition of sweat, a parameter that allows to know the tendency to dehydration of athletes and, on the other hand, to screen patients with cystic fibrosis.
