About the talk

The Institute of Microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "IMECAS"), was founded in 1958. It is an important research and development institution in the field of microelectronics science and technology and integrated circuits in China. The Institute carries out scientific research in the fields of semiconductor devices and integrated circuit manufacturing, integrated circuit design and application, integrated circuit equipment, etc. It has the full chain from principle devices, integrated processes, manufacturing equipment to chip development, systematic scientific and technological innovation and technology research capabilities.

In recent years, silicon detectors have been developed in IMECAS, such as 3D detectors, Low-Gain Avalanche Detectors (LGAD), pixel detectors and silicon drift detectors (SDD). Among them, LGAD has been used to ATLAS High Granularity Timing Detector (HGTD) program. Nowadays, we are seeking broader international cooperation and hope to join international collaboration organization to make contributions to the development of high-energy particle/photon detection.
