The IMB-CNM participates in the creation of the new ATLAS subdetector at CERN
The new subdetector is inserted in the same heart of ATLAS, with smaller sensors and high resistance to radioactivity. Some of the sensors have been developed and manufactured in the Clean Room of the IMB-CNM-CSIC, in Barcelona.
IMB-CNM researcher awarded with a BBVA Foundation Grant
Xavier Muñoz Berbel, post-doctoral “Ramón y Cajal” researcher at IMB-CNM, has been awarded one of the “BBVA Foundation Grants for Researchers and Cultural Creators 2015” for the project SOAR: Optomechanical Sensor for Resistance Arteries.
Neurographene, nuevo proyecto del Flagship dedicado al grafeno
El Grupo de Biomonitorización perteneciente al Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red (CIBER-BBN), en el cual participan investigadores del Instituto de Microelectrónica de Barcelona (IMB-CNM), es nuevo miembro del Flagship europeo dedicado al grafeno. Con ellos, también han sido invitados a participar en este emblemático proyecto 66 nuevos socios de 19 países.
New power electronics, mission to Mercury
The Instituto de Microelectrónica de Barcelona (IMB-CNM) takes part in Bepi-Colombo, the Europe's first mission to Mercury. The participation of the IMB-CNM, led by Philippe Godignon, a CSIC’s research professor, is focused on developing the protector diodes for the spacecraft’s solar panel. The team forms part of the LIA Wide Lab.
