Activities related to scientific culture and information exchange between science and society, including the Microelectronics Museum Space.
Public outreach activities are important to promote the awareness of the benefits of science and technology, the scientific culture of society and the public support to scientific and technological research. The IMB-CNM outreach activities are oriented to its R&D field of micro and nanoelectronics. A Museum Space has been established which shows equipment used in microelectronics technology and illustrates how silicon chips are fabricated. The Museum is an important element in the existing programme of visits for high school students, which is aimed to encourage young people to follow science and technology careers. In addition, IMB-CNM participates in the annual Science and Technology week in Spain. Guided visits for student groups
